·How to disinfect without damaging the floor·

When disinfecting flooring, it is important to effectively kill bacteria and viruses while avoiding damage to the flooring material. The key is to choose the appropriate method and product. Here are some suggestions that balance disinfection effectiveness and floor protection. You can choose according to the type of your own flooring (such as tiles, wooden flooring, composite flooring, etc.).

Choose a gentle disinfection method
To protect the floor, priority should be given to using disinfection methods that are gentle on the material and have low corrosiveness.
Quaternary ammonium salt disinfectants: These disinfectants have relatively mild properties, low irritation, good killing effect on most bacteria, and low risk of damage to floor surfaces.
75% medical alcohol: Alcohol has a good bactericidal effect, evaporates quickly, and is not easily residual. When using, simply pour it onto a clean cloth and wipe it, but be careful of its flammability, keep it away from open flames, and avoid using it on marble, latex paint surfaces, and electrical equipment.
Hydrogen peroxide (hydrogen peroxide) spray: it is an environmental friendly disinfectant, and the decomposition products are water and oxygen, which is friendly to the environment and the floor. Shake well before use, dilute according to the instructions, spray on the floor, let it stand for a moment, and then wipe clean with water.
High temperature steam cleaning: This is a highly recommended method, especially suitable for wooden floors, composite floors, and difficult to clean corners such as bathrooms and kitchens. High temperature steam (above 100 ℃) can effectively kill bacteria and viruses without the need for chemical agents, avoiding the potential damage of chemical residues to the floor. The floor dries quickly after use.

Precautions for using common cleaning agents
If choosing to use common disinfectants, be sure to pay attention to the dilution ratio and subsequent processing.
84 disinfectant (chlorine containing disinfectant): Although it has strong bactericidal power, it has an irritating odor and corrosiveness. If used, it must be diluted strictly according to the product instructions (such as the 1:100 ratio mentioned in the data), and it is not recommended to use it on the floor in large areas indoors to avoid residual irritation to the human body. It is more suitable to use the method of spraying and wiping, and ensure sufficient ventilation.
Avoid incorrect combinations: Do not mix 84 disinfectant with acidic cleaning agents such as toilet cleaner, dishwashing liquid, etc., as it can produce toxic gases.
Cleaning agents: If using cleaning agents, it is recommended to choose floor specific cleaning agents or floor cleaning pads, which are usually well proportioned, have cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance functions, are easy to use, and are more friendly to the floor.

Special tips for different flooring materials
Ceramic tile/cement floor: It has strong corrosion resistance and can be disinfected with various methods, such as diluted chlorine containing disinfectants, white vinegar solution, etc.
Wooden/composite flooring: The material is sensitive, and strong acids, alkalis, or corrosive cleaning agents should be avoided. Preferred gentle methods include steam cleaning, specialized cleaning agents, or alcohol. 24. Avoid soaking the floor in large amounts of accumulated water.
